Latest Nokia Phones for Small Business – Nokia E70 Review & Nokia E62 Review
Latest Nokia Phones for Small Business – Nokia E70 Review & Nokia E62 Review
Nokia’s Enterprise series phones cater mainly to the business professional, but anyone can appreciate the benefits of these phones. I love the Eseries phones because they seem much more practical than other phones. You’ll find useful features in these two latest Nokia phones that you won’t find in other phones. Best of all, the latest Nokia Eseries phones look quite sleek and attractive.
Nokia E62 Review
The slim E62 is an international roaming quad-band device which supports 850/900/1800/1900 bands. The screen features rich colors on a rather large screen (320 x 240), you’ll have no problems with image quality here. The phone itself is very light, weighing in at around 5 ounces – less than a 1/3 of a pound!
The latest Nokia E62 is perfect for e-mail with the handy QWERTY keyboard. Business users will also appreciate the dedicated e-mail key and flashing message alert light. Internal memory is a nice 90 MB, which leaves plenty of room for storing your messages and files.
Talk time is around 5 hours, with stand-by time a lengthy 14 days.
The Nokia E62 is packed with extra voice features that you’ll find very convenient. You’ll find hands-free voice dialing, voice commands for menu selections, push-to-talk, as well as a dedicated voice button for quick and simple voice recording.
Armed with the versatile Symbian S60 3rd Edition OS, the E62 can handle pretty much anything you throw at it. Pre-installed on the Nokia E62 is also a bevy of useful office software. You’ll find a word processor, a spreadsheet program, an innovative web browser, and more.
Available from Cingular Wireless the Nokia E62 is also very inexpensive when compared to similar devices. If you’re operating on a budget, then the E62 would be the perfect match for your business phone needs.
Nokia E70 Review
The Nokia E70 is a little heavier than the Nokia E62, but it incorporates a camera on the back (while the E62 has no camera) so the extra weight is called for.
The design is unique but very functional. Flip open the E70 to reveal a fully functional keyboard. The keyboard makes this phone ideal for business communications like e-mail and messenger. You can even send messages easily in the dark, a vivid white backlight will brighten up your keyboard.
The Nokia E70 features a wonderfully big rich display at 352 x 416 pixels. The phone operates on the slick S60 Symbian 3rd Edition OS. Included is the S60 Office Suite, as well as programs like Handy Expense and Zip Manager.
Since Eseries phones are mostly business oriented phones, most of them don’t have cameras. This is one of the only Eseries phones that actually has a camera. The camera is quality, 2 megapixels with 8x digital zoom. Record near-VHS quality video with the Nokia E70 in up to 3 different resolutions at 15 FPS (frames per second).
The latest Nokia E70 phone also features integrated Wi-Fi. Wi-Fi is perfect to stay in touch or on the Internet anywhere in the world, as long as you’re within range of a Wi-Fi network.
Setting up your mobile e-mail is quick and easy right out of the box. Nokia likes to make this easy for their business users to sync their existing contacts, calendar, and other data.
The Nokia E70 is one of Nokia’s most robust business phones and offers all the features you’ll ever need in a phone.

Introducing An Affordable Smartphone, The Nokia C5
The world’s leading mobile phone maker Nokia has just announced a new candybar smartphone that starts the C-series product portfolio that focuses on the social networking capability in mobile phones. This is the Nokia C5 that didn’t figure in the 2010 Mobile World Congress despite getting some product leaks in the online rumor corridors weeks before the event.
At a glance, it has a unique light-colored metallic look that can be a stand-out among candybar handset, whether smart or not. But don’t expect anything else when up close. If it didn’t come with the Symbian S60 v3. 2 OS, we could have sworn it was just an ordinary feature phone.
Standard Features Up Close
Pitched as a social networking handset, the C5 is endowed with some new features to prove its worth among the SNS crowd. It comes with a new phonebook feature that allows you to see who among your contacts are your Facebook friends and you can do direct updates from there.
You get a GPS receiver with Ovi Maps that allows location sharing with your Facebook pals. You get to see three of your favorite friends on the homescreen for instant calling and messaging. You also get to share your phone’s media content in SNS, online forums and media sharing sites like YouTube and Flickr as well as download all the apps you need form the Ovi Store
All these social networking and media file sharing would be a pain to do if not for its 10 Mbps HSDPA and 2 Mbps HSUPA data connectivity on the 3G dual band UMTS network. International roaming is also standard with its quad band GSM/GPRS/EDGE radio on the 2G network. There’s WiFi for hotspot surfing but you still get local data connectivity support with Bluetooth 2. 0 with A2DP and microUSB 2. 0.
Its slim and narrow body measuring just 112 x 46 x 12. 3 mm accommodates a mere 2. 2 inch QVGA TFT LCD screen with 16 million colors. Imaging gets a 3. 2 megapixel fixed focus camera with LED flash, 15fps VGA video recording and a secondary 3G video call camera.
Entertainment on the road gets the usual media playback support for popular audio and video files and stereo FM radio with RDS. Your listening options include a built-in set of stereo speakers, a 3. 5mm AV jack for wired headsets and the Bluetooth A2DP for wireless stereo earphones.
Internal memory storage comes with 50 MB and 128 MB RAM with nearly unlimited phone entries and fields. It also has microSD expandability for up to 16GB. Talk time is a generous 12 hours and a standby time is 26 days form its standard 1050 mAh Li-Ion battery on f a full charge.
Available 2nd Quarter
The new Nokia smartphone is expected to hit European markets starting in the 2nd quarter and will be come in a choice of two body colors – white and warm grey body colors you can choose from. The Nokia C5 ? An Affordable Social Centric Smartphone
With products leaks on a new Nokia smartphone getting rumored in the online mobile community weeks before the 2010 Mobile World Congress, we would think this would get official confirmation when the event unfolded, but surprisingly, Nokia was conspicuously silent about it. It was only this March 2nd that we got office word on the new Nokia C5 candybar smartphone that now kicks off a new series focused on the social networking smartphone line for 2010.
As a design sculpture, there’s nothing inspiring or jaw-dropping about it though it has some uniquely styling to stand above the rest of the candybar crowd, smartphone or not. Even less remarkable are its features which just echo what we’ve come to expect from mobile phones.
And if we didn’t know it had the Symbian S60 v3. 2 OS on it, we wouldn’t have suspected it was a smartphone as its features could have been the equal of just about every feature phone in its price point. Expect this to become available in the 2nd quarter with an affordable SIM-free price of €135 before taxes and subsidies. It will come in a choice of white and warm grey body colors and will include a free 2 GB microSD card in the sales kit along with free GPS navigation and Ovi Store access.
Social Networking Features
It’s great that the C5 is a 3G phone on the dual band UMTS with a 10. 2 Mbps HSDPA and 2 Mbps HSUPA to make internet surfing, messaging, social networking and media file sharing online worth your while. It is only with high speed connectivity that the word “instant” starts to make sense as your homescreen allows you t instantly access three of our favorites Facebook friends for instant SNS updating, calling and messaging using IM from Google Talk and Windows Live Messenger.
Its phonebook carries a new feature that allows you to see your Facebook friends in the entries so you can launch SNS right from the phonebook. It has a GPS receiver with assisted GPS and Ovi Maps 3. 0 with drive and walk direction navigation as well as location sharing with your SNS friends.
With no wait downloading, you can have all the cool apps you need from the Ovi Store as well as upload your media content on the phone to SNS, online communities and media sharing sites like Flickr, YouTube and Picasa.
Standard Hardware Features
The Nokia C5 has a small 2. 2 inch TFT LCD QVGA screen with 16 million colors, a 3. 2 megapixel fixed focus camera with LED flash, VGA video recording at 15fps as well as a secondary camera for 3G video calls. It’s also a quad band GSM/GPRS/EDGE on 2G powered by 600 MHz ARM 11 processor. There’s no WiFi, only Bluetooth 2. 0 and microUSB 2. 0 for local data transfers. Multimedia gets the usual media playback support for popular audio and video files, stereo FM radio with RDS, built-in IHF stereo speakers, a 3. 5mm AV jack and Bluetooth A2DP support for wireless stereo earphones.
Internal memory storage is 50 MB with 128 MB RAM that can be expanded up to 16 GB from its microSD slot. Its 1050 mAh Li-Ion BL-5CT battery gets you up to 12 hours of talk time and 26 days on standby on a full charge.
